As the book industry enters a new chapter, Village Books has taken on an expanding role with print-on-demand technology. The Espresso Book Machine® (EBM) is a print-on-demand machine that can have a 200+ page paperback printed, bound, and ready for sale in minutes.
We have access to Google Books in the public domain* as well as thousands of publisher-permission titles--upwards of 2 millions titles! Google Books are $8 up to 200 pages and $0.01 for each page above 200. Prices of books from other sources vary. You can search the database and place an order by clicking here.
Authors looking for an easier way to get published are able to print their books on our machine. The EBM prints paperback books of amazing quality, with full-color covers and b&w interiors. The machine provides countless options for authors, including the ability to print trim sizes (book dimensions) of 4.5" x 5.5" to 8.25" x 10.5" and 40 to 830 page books.
An added perk to the machine is that it is environmentally friendly; books are not shipped, but rather produced in-store, therefore saving fuel. Books are never returned to the publisher or destroyed due to poor sales and lack of warehouse space, which results in less waste.
We are thrilled to have this new addition to the bookstore and to be able to make books even more accessible to everyone!
