What happens when a young, immature alphabet letter must decide what letter he will be?  Join little Squiggle’s spiritual journey as he considers the sounds, forms, strengths, and weaknesses of each letter.  Young readers can explore new ways of looking at the alphabet and create their own word lists. This full-color picture book will spark a child’s imagination.  Carolyn Leeper, a retired travel agent, writes for the Sudden Valley Views in Bellingham.   Set partly in Bellingham, partly on the open road, these prose poems investigate loss, innocence, and what it means to live in beautiful surroundings that remain part of a larger deficit culture.  With a narrative arc that follows a hyper-observant narrator from adolescence through adulthood, this book has been described (by poet Mary Biddinger) as “Cinematic and compassionate, sexy and heartbreaking… a debut collection that will thrill you with the sound of your own pulse.” Elizabeth J. Colen has lived in the Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, and currently resides in the Pacific Northwest with her spouse, blind dog, and a passel of wild birds. Her first book of poetry, Money for Sunsets was selected by Denise Duhamel for publication with Steel Toe Books. Her fiction chapbook, Dear Mother Monster, Dear Daughter Mistake will be released by Rose Metal Press next year.
