Return to Budapest follows the intertwined lives of three Hungarian families from the waning days of the great Austro-Hungarian Empire to the end of World War II. This sweeping multi-generational saga unfolds in the midst of great historic events and political turmoil, when decent men and women struggle to do the right thing, often at great peril. Budapest, Berlin, and other great European cities come to life in this romantic, action-filled story of idyllic childhood adventures and youthful passions, betrayal and intrigue, steadfast relationships and undeniable, ever-lasting love. Author Barbara Filo lives in Spokane with her husband, Robert. Barbara spent more than twenty years as art historian at Whitworth University in Spokane where she led the British Isles Study Abroad Program for many years, spent a sabbatical at Galeria mesta Bratislavy, Slovakia, and is now Emeritus faculty. Village Books will soon carry copies of Barbara's book. Check back soon for more info.
