Village Books and WCC Community and Continuing Education have established a writing instruction collaboration called Chuckanut Writers. Writing classes, seminars, and conferences will inspire and encourage writers at all stages of their writing journey.

This class will provide the techniques and mindset for establishing and continuing a daily writing practice. The structure of the class will involve writing, sharing, feedback, and process-based reflecting. The goal will be to imbue participants with the tools and techniques to proceed and progress as a writer in their own way. Instructor Joel Gillman has an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch in Los Angeles, maintains a thousand-word-a-day blog, and has been showing middle school students ways of "tapping in" for 24 years.

Instructor: Joel Gillman. Class meets Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25, and Nov. 1. is $125; click to register. To see the full listing of current Chuckanut Writers classes, click here.
