Join local illustrator Craig Orback as he shares his process of illustrating this touching picture book, reads the book, and offers an art exercise for kids of all ages.
Money is tight, and Tim’s family can’t afford to buy him a skate board for his birthday. Watching a local homeless man called “The Can Man” collect empty soft drink cans gives Tim the idea to collect cans too, and cash them in for the redemption money. Soon Tim has reached his goal—until a couple of chance encounters with The Can Man change everything.
