LUTHER ALLEN, THE VIEW FROM LUMMI ISLAND (POETRY)

Written while the author lived on Lummi Island, these 365 poems resulted from his fascination with the natural fabric of an iconic island, informed by a deep reverence for place, and his insights are widely applicable.  Life-long poet Luther Allen migrated to the Northwest 20 years ago from the Southwest.  With academic training in biology and geography, he makes his living as a building designer and is very involved in community poetry.
