ROYCE BUCKINGHAM, THE DEAD BOYS (YA/KIDS' EVENT)

In Richland, WA, a giant sycamore tree horribly mutated by nuclear waste feeds on the life energy of boys it snags in its living roots. When Teddy moves to town, the tree seeks its next victim.  Can Teddy escape the tree’s terrifying grasp and solve the mystery of the missing boys before he becomes the next to disappear?  Royce Buckingham grew up downriver from the Hanford nuclear plant, which might explain his mutated world view.  Now a prosecuting attorney, he lives in Bellingham with his wife and two boys, none of whom have been eaten by demons or mutant trees…yet.
