William Dietrich is the author of six novels, including the most recent Ethan Gage Adventures, Napoleon’s Pyramids, The Rosetta Key, and The Dakota Cipher.  An award-winning journalist and naturalist, he shared a Pulitzer for coverage of the Exxon Valdez oil spill and was one of the first reporters to the scene of that story. He also covered the eruption of Mount St. Helens, losing a photographer friend in that disaster.  A winner of the PNBA Award for Fiction, he is a contributing writer at the Seattle Times.
