In conjunction with city-wide celebrations for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the annual MLK Day Read-In will be held from 12:30-2:30 in the Readings Gallery at Village Books on Monday, January 21. Parents are encouraged to bring their children ages 3-8 years old to join Western Washington University student volunteers in activities and reading stories on social justice themes. The MLK Day Read-In is a chance for children to celebrate and gain a deeper appreciation for Dr. King’s dream of equality and hope by engaging with this topic through literature and games with University students. Parents are welcome to participate.
