Join us the first Wednesday of each month, from noon-1pm for a natural healthcare brown bag series featuring a variety of local health care providers. This month's guest is local herbalist and acupuncturist, Nancy Moore, discussing "Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine: Wellness During Difficult Times."
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are best known for alleviating pain but increasingly are recognized as effective, gentle, affordable, and non-invasive remedies for a wide variety of conditions. Refined over thousands of years, Chinese medicine offers a means of maintaining wellness in a time of rising health care costs and stress-related illnesses. Nancy Moore will discuss how it can help.
Nancy Moore, M.Ac., L.Ac., is a licensed, board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist in Fairhaven, a master's degree graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture, and a diplomate of the National Certification Commission on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Because of her earlier years as a licensed massage practitioner she often integrates hands-on modalities with her work in Chinese medicine, focusing on collaboration in helping people tap into their bodies' own healing intelligence. Her areas of specialty are head, neck, and jaw pain; digestive disorders including celiac disease; women's health issues; and pain/stress management.
