Artist Christen Mattix knits a half-mile line from an abandoned bench to Bellingham Bay, opening up a world of interaction with her quirky Fairhaven neighbors.  Told with honesty and humor, Skein is an intimate glimpse into Christen's psyche and a sparkling account of a neighborhood with its joys and sorrows.

Christen Mattix is a creative human living in Bellingham, WA.  Her poems were featured in Psalter & Lyre, Clover: A Literary Rag and other publications. She has exhibited at The Whatcom Museum, Smith & Vallee and SAM Gallery. Christen grew up in Thailand and much of her work explores the beautiful tension of existing on the threshold of East and West.
