Village Books and WCC Community and Continuing Education have established a writing instruction collaboration called Chuckanut Writers. Writing classes, seminars, and conferences will inspire and encourage writers at all stages of their writing journey.

The Wisdom of the Garden: A Poetry Workshop with Barbara Bloom

"Wisdom is oftentimes nearer when we stoop than when we soar," the poet William Wordsworth tells us. Join us as we explore what other poets have to say about the wisdom of gardens as we work on our own garden-inspired poems in this two-part workshop. Homework will include spending time in a garden of your choice. Barbara Bloom, a lifelong gardening enthusiast, has an M.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and has published two books of poetry.
