Village Books and WCC Community and Continuing Education have established a writing instruction collaboration called Chuckanut Writers. Writing classes, seminars, and conferences will inspire and encourage writers at all stages of their writing journey.

The key to turning people you know into characters on the page is choosing the details that evoke the relationships between the characters appearing in the story. We'll explore how gesture, vocal quality, and repetition can turn the people in our lives into vibrant characters. This interactive workshop lead by Rebecca Mabanglo-Mayor, a multi-genre author and professional storyteller, compelling characters on the page.

Instructor: Rebecca Mabanglo-Mayor. Class meets February 12  from 6-7:30pm, and is $25; click to register. To see the full listing of current Chuckanut Writers classes, click here.
