This book is for those who yearn for adventure and are dreaming of crossing oceans, cruising the world or making a career at sea but are aware they need to learn more before they can confidently set sail. Learn from practical advice based on interviews with 40 Blue Water sailing women. It gives the novice passage-maker a reliable foundation for starting a life at sea based on the shared experiences and frank advice of 40 blue water sailor women interviewed from around the globe, from novice to highly professional.

Born in New Zealand Gina has been full-time sailing the world for the past 15 years. However, sailing was a huge change from the career Gina had enjoyed as university lecturer in marketing, innovation and entrepreneurship and CEO of her company, ‘Masters Consulting’. She continues her work as life coach and facilitator. Gina’s newest adventure is as published author and she has written several articles about their adventures for sailing magazines in Germany, USA, Australia and New Zealand. When mentor and friend Lin Pardey agreed a book like Blue Water Women was a good idea, Gina determined to write her first book.

Gina’s aim in life is to inspire and support women, in particular, to find the courage to make that ‘leap’ to a more adventurous, fulfilling life. Future plans include sailing to Sumatra and the Indian Andeman islands, back to Thailand then across the South China Sea to Borneo, the Philippines
