Giving Tree 2023

The Giving Tree has begun!
Happening now in both our Fairhaven & Lynden stores!

It is that time of year when the collaboration among book lovers, Village Books, and several community organizations provides the gift of reading to local children and families through Village Books’ Giving Tree. For the past 20 years we've provided books for thousands of kids who would not otherwise have received them. Last year alone, because of your generosity, we gave books to almost 1300 children through eight local organizations!

How can you help?

Everyone can participate in the Giving Tree!

Choose an angel ornament from the tree in Village Books in Fairhaven or Lynden, and purchase a book for a recipient for 20% off. With every purchase you will be given the opportunity to round up to the nearest dollar for the Giving Tree and there will be a change jar at each register - the money will help to purchase even more books! The books will be distributed to kids, through community organizations, in the weeks before Christmas. Here is a list of organizations to which we distribute books:
