A funny and risqué travel memoir which chronicles a young woman's exodus from a small town in Washington State to Southern Spain on an intrepid cross-country drive with a friend, where adventure awaits around every corner.
Kate Vredevoogd grew up under the looming conifers of the Pacific Rainforest with her loving parents and many animal friends. She started photography in Bellingham, Washington at 15 years old when her uncle gave her his Nikon FE2 film camera, and she started writing long before that, shortly after learning the alphabet. These two things are the glue that hold the pieces of Kate together. She was born in Washington State, but after catching the travel bug she went on an epic road trip across the United States, which eventually led her to  Spain, where she would spend the next six years and counting.
