The mystique of the 1900’s provides the backdrop for a close knit island community located in the San Juan Islands. A fatherless youth seeks to explore the fringe beyond his sparse upbringing. Delving into the margins of lawlessness of the 1920s prohibition years offers him a way forward. The discovery of an unrighteous stronghold of Nazis though annihilated has dire consequences.

L. G. Crawford grew up in a San Juan Island community where his ancestors migrated in the 1890’s. Kangaroo House draws on the early years of past generations heightened by history and tales carried forward. He and his wife of over 50 years live in a 1920’s lakeside cottage with uneven floors.
