Is what is written as poetry true? Read Linda Conroy’s Ordinary Signs and ask if what she says is real. Does she live as she used to live? Is our time here a measure of the mix of fact and make- believe, a blend of all we’ve seen? Read on!
When Linda Conroy retired from a long career as a child protective services worker, manager, meeting facilitator and advocate for people with unique needs, she started to write about the simplicity and complexity of the natural world and of behaviors that make us human. In the process of writing, she says, we discover the unexpected, the ordinary and the unique; we say things we did not know we knew. Linda hosts writing groups at Village Books in Bellingham and is a three-time Sue C. Boynton Poetry Contest winner. Her work has appeared in various journals and anthologies.
