Phyllis Shacter shares the first personal story ever written about VSED (Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking). This is the journey she took with her husband once he decided to VSED so he didn’t have to live into the late stages of Alzheimer’s. This is their love story and partnership and the brave territory they traversed, including the medical and legal considerations. They knew they were paving the way for others who would follow in their footsteps.

Phyllis Shacter is a retired teacher, business consultant, life coach and public speaker. She is dedicated to expanding end of life choices including information about VSED.
