Join Village Books and the
North Cascades Institute as we host Tim McNulty for his third poetry, Ascendance. This collection explores the universal themes of family, friendship, work, and solitude, all within the larger context of the natural world. For McNulty that world embraces the mountains, rivers, forests and coastlines of the Pacific Northwest, where he has made his home for over four decades. McNulty's clear voice and attentive eye bring the people, landscapes, and creatures that inhabit these poems vividly to life.
Tim McNulty is a poet, essayist and nature writer. His previous collections include:
In Blue Mountain Dusk (Pleasure Boat Studio) and
Pawtracks (Copper Canyon Press), along with eight poetry chapbooks and eleven books of natural history. He lives in the foothills of Washington's Olympic Mountains.
