Calling all young readers and writers from ages 8-11, this exciting camp is just for you! Each day of the week (July 18-22) has a specific beloved book as its focus and all of that day's activities will be inspired by its respective book. There will be short a writing exercise every day, as well as a healthy snack. Other activities will include field trip adventures around Bellingham, solving mysteries, and arts and crafts.

The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart
A Whale of the Wild by Roseanne Parry
Borders by Thomas King, Illustrated by Natasha Donovan
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
Village Books Lit Camp is $150 per child. Registration is for the entire week (July 18-22) and is limited to 10 campers, and is first-come, first-served (no waiting list). Completed forms and a check to Village Books can be mailed to: Village Books, Lit Camp, 1200 11th Street, Bellingham, WA 98225. Registration also accepted at our main counter. No phoned registrations accepted. Registration opens June 15 and forms must be received by 5pm on Saturday, July 16. Download the registration form (link at bottom of this page), or you can pick up a form at our main counter. Each child will receive a discount on all 5 bundled titles upon registration.
**Purchase of books is NOT required and kids do NOT have to have read the books in advance to participate.**
We are offering a second session of this camp from August 1-5 if your child is unable to attend the first session.
