Gaye is a true Washingtonian who believes that a good Northwest rainy day (that is, "a wet rain") provides the perfect opportunity to curl up with a cat*, a blanket, and a good book.. (*Provided one can keep the cat from sitting on the good book.) When not at work Gaye spends her days - and sometimes half of her nights - practicing/rehearsing & teaching violin, performing with Whatcom Symphony and various other ensembles, creating/crafting, knitting and crocheting, falling asleep while zen tangle-ing, making giant messes, not being chief cook and bottle-washer, and talking to animals and the occasional inanimate object. She is mom to 3 humans, 2 dogs, and 2 cats and wife to 1 very nice husband. She is a big fan of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and children's books but enjoys other genres as well. Some favorite authors have been C.S. Lewis, Madelaine L'Engle, Leon Uris, Anne Tyler, Frank Herbert, and Robert Munsch. Gaye is so happy that Village Books has come to her hometown of Lynden and loves being part of the Village Books and Paper Dreams family.
