Guest Post from Amy Guerra, Mount Baker Theatre: On Writing "Spinning"

Village Books is grateful for our friends in the local arts community, including the amazing crew at the Mount Baker Theatre. Together, we host Booked at the Baker author events at the theatre and advocate for cultural arts. We share a belief that active participation in local literature, visual and performing arts enriches our community and inspires us all. We loved this piece (link below) written by Amy Guerra. Amy is Mount Baker Theatre's associate executive director. She is also a dancer and a writer. We're not sure how she found a moment in her busy day, but in her free time, she recently wrote this article for "North American Review," which beautifully and powerfully describes why the arts matter, why participation matters, and how lucky we are to live in a thriving arts community. Thanks for sharing, Amy!
