Working in senior care isn't for everyone. It isn't even for most. But for those rare few who find their passion in this multifaceted industry, the sense of job and life satisfaction are limitless. So too, however, can be the pervasive sense of loss and hopelessness.
Poopy Fingers follows the lessons, the mistakes, the smiles, and the tears as Kevin Donner stumbles upon his own passion for working with, and for, this often undervalued and ignored demographic. This book shows the daily physical and emotional needs of the residents, but more importantly, explores the varying stages of life familiar to so many of us.
Kevin Donner is originally from Vancouver, Canada. He received my Master’s of Professional Writing in Sydney, Australia, and now lives in Bellingham, Washington. He is a screenwriter, a cat lover, and a pretty nice dude. He's lived in lots of places, had lots of jobs, and done lots of things. But the two things that define him best are that he is a husband and a stay-at-home dad to three amazing kids.
