Parents, join us in the Readings Gallery as we host local author/illustrator Sarai Stevens for a discussion, "Coming down off the Mountain of Limitlessness: Through community, creating new paths for our children." Sarai's talk is based on her book, Seeds for a New Day, which is beautifully illustrated with papercuts. The book guides Earth's children as they learn to live more meaningful and connected lives. This talk is geared toward parents so they can offer their children tools to respect Earth's limits by using less energy and resources.

Sarai Stevens is a mother of three living in Whatcom County. She believes it is our human right to be educated about the state of our world, so that we have the freedom to respond accordingly and ensure that future generations maintain their access to adequate food, shelter and water in supportive, joyful communities. Just as she teaches her children healthy limits in their daily lives, Sarai hopes that our global society learns to respect Earth's own limits.

This event is co-sponsored by Chuckanut Transition & Transition Whatcom.

Village Books is pleased to carry copies of Sarai's book, Seeds for a New Day. Please call 360-671-2626 to obtain copies.
