Thursdays, Oct.: 3, 10, 17, 24, 6:30-8:30pm
Join us for a weekly class during the month of October where you’ll discover and practice the details of writing about place. Through close reading, you’ll analyze what gives setting substance, how sense details draw us in close, and how place can act as a through-line in a longer piece, tying together scenes and ultimately, story. Participants will write setting, working with Natalie Goldberg-style timed writing, creating a new environment or deepening a familiar one taken from current work. Bring a pen and paper, and be ready to have some fun.
This workshop will take place at the Fairhaven Village Inn Conference Room, 1200 10th Street. Registration deadline has been extended to Tues., Oct. 1, 2013. Only a few spots left!
